BALINGUP TRANSIT PARK

Public BBQ

This transit park sits beside Balingup's oval with grassed powered sites a short walk from town. The setup is straightforward: hot showers at the oval's amenity block about 100 metres away, public toilets closer at 50 metres, and a fire pit for evening use. A creek runs through the park adding a peaceful backdrop, though it's not suitable for swimming. The open location means limited privacy but easy access to Balingup's cafes and shops. Sites cost $33-40 per night through the Visitor Centre. Early arrivals can snag shaded spots. The exposed setting means noise from weekend events at the oval occasionally drifts across, but most nights are quiet. Well-kept grounds and decent facilities make it a practical stopover for exploring the surrounding forests and local galleries without spending much.
